Haleigh Henegan

Artist Statement

Haleigh Henegan, born and raised in Florida, moved to Greenville in 2018 where she graduated from the Fine Arts Center and is finishing up her degree in Visual Arts at Bob Jones University. From and early age, storytelling and creativity have been constants in her life. She spent countless hours painting, constructing dollhouses out of paper, and writing imaginative stories. That same joy continues to inspire her today as a 24-year-old artist pursuing a creative career rooted in compassion, beauty, and connection.

Her art is centered on capturing the simple and tender moments that stir the heart, whether it's the charm of a woodland scene, the quiet strength of a character, or the loyal presence of a beloved animal. Nature in its gentlest forms, human stories told with warmth, and animals full of personality are recurring subjects in her work.

"I am especially drawn to themes that uplift and comfort. At the core of everything I make is a desire to create joy and extend kindness to others, especially children and those who still carry a childlike sense of wonder. Art has always been a way for me to connect with the world and offer something gentle back to it. As I continue learning, my goal is not only to improve my craft but also to stay true to the heart behind it: a love of storytelling, a belief in the kindness of small things, and a hope that what I create might make someone's day just a little bit brighter."
