The Wild Hare Art Gallery & Studios annual contest will be a “Brush Off”.
$20 covers your application fee, rules and some helpful hints for decorating your brush. Don’t have your own brush to use? That’s OK - we have brushes available at the Gallery for an additional $5. Stop in during gallery hours (Tue - Fri, 11-4)
Decoration is completely up to you. The only “rule” is it must be able to hang. All entries will hang from our gallery ceiling during our Anniversery Party.
Prizes will be given for top catigories, including including some nifty certificates to local restaurants!
You may chose to have your Brush Off be for sale through the gallery if you wish.
Let us know if you need your Brush Off mailed and we can figure shipping, they are very light weight and it shouldn't be much.
For more information stop in at the gallery Tuesday through Friday 11-4, visit our Facebook or Instagram sites or contact us at wildharegallery18@gmail.com.

This class is for beginners - don’t be intimidated! Let’s think spring and paint several postcard size backgrounds and then draw florals on them. This is a great "grab-and-go" project. I keep several small painted postcards handy and draw on them when I'm waiting for Dr appointments or in the airport.
These will be easy small pieces that are great for postcards or smaller frames! We will start by painting several backgrounds and while they dry I will teach you some simple steps to draw beautiful florals.

This class is for beginners - don’t be intimidated! Never picked up a brush before? This one is for you! We are going to create at least one abstract landscape but the main focus of this class is learning some basic watercolor techniques that all beginners need. We will practice basic brush strokes that we will use to create texture, get a handle on how much water is enough and how much is too much, we will use primarily wet-in dry techniques and add some mixed media embellishments. At the end of the day we will have a better understanding of how water color paints work and how to use their unique characteristics to your advantage.

Starting on June 3rd, we will be hosting weekly classes on Mondays from 10AM to 12PM, with the exception of the Fourth of July Weekend. The last class will be held on Monday, July 29th. This class is being offered for students between the ages of 9 & 12 years old.
The classes will be hosted by Revonda Bradshaw and Abigail Cruz Colton, and students will be guided through several artistic styles over the span of the course. Each class comes at a cost of $30 per student, however, students who are signed up for 4 or more classes will only be charged $25 per class. If selecting the 4 class pack option, please be sure to specify which dates your child will be attending.
Classes and schedule are listed below:
6/3 - Introduction to Watercolor Design & Sketching: students will be guided through learning the basics of watercolor painting and sketching to create a design
6/10 - Watercolor Gradient Bookmarks: this is a continuation of the introduction to watercolor, where students will be coached on creating gradients with watercolor to create their own bookmarks
