This drawing class is for beginners - don’t be intimidated! We are going to learn to simlify and draw those little woodsy delights, those "fairy stools", those "pixie parasols", those "elf caps" and whatever else you want to call them and make a magical little world in a glass dome that will be ready for you to paint , color or leave as an whimsical ink drawing. (By the way, next month I'll be doing a class on using watercolor pencils and it will be a great opportunity to color/paint your own drawing from this class or use one of my drawings!)

This class is for beginners! Ages ten to 100 are invited! The January cold and snow inspired this project. We know in the upstate of South Carolina how interesting the weather can be and how it influences our actions and feelings. This project allows you to step back, slow down, and enjoy the process of watching how salt (yes salt) creates the illusion of frost on winter trees.

Wow, I struggled with a name for this class, but what can I say? It's February so....
This class is for beginners. Don't be intimidated! In this class we will focus on two different processes: Transparent Painting and Negative Painting. We will do the processes side by side so you can compare techniques as we go and to allow drying time for each one. I used hearts as my primary shape since...well, February...but you can use any shape and color theme you'd like.

Learn Everything iPhone for your Photos
The technology we carry around in our pockets is absolutely crazy, isn't it?! This class is for beginners and for those with more camera experience.
In this 4 week class you will come to understand your iPhone Camera inside and out. Week One covers all settings in both Camera and Photos as well as the menus and options in the camera itself and gets you well on your way to taking better photos. Week two exposes some hidden gems and introduces third-party apps for taking photos. Week Three - navigating Photos, organizing and editing using the tools native to your phone. Week Four - editing using some amazing third-party apps. Weeks two and three will include opportunity for a field trip to put into practice what you learn. (Weather permitting!) We will also cover different accessories that are available and I will share my thoughts on what is worth the investment.
I will be using iPhone 17 ProMax but don't worry - whatever model iPhone you have is perfect!
Class runs 4 weeks on Mondays 10 AM - 1:00 PM beginning Monday, February 9th, 2026

This class is for beginners - don’t be intimidated! This is your chance to experiment with all Joann’s “stuff”! I have templates drawn for fall, Christmas, and Hanukkah (I will post photos soon, I promise!) From there you can dive in and try my watercolor pencils, my Brusho powdered watercolors, my liquids watercolor paints and my standard watercolor paints. I will bring it all as well as all the other tools you are used to me digging out. This class will be a bit less structured and more about trying some new things. You will have plenty of scrap paper to experiment on and 6 cards and envelopes to get you going.
