Artist Statement

My work explores and celebrates the smaller moments in life. I look for beauty in the way light falls through a window or the wind blows leaves off of a tree. How we interact with the world around us and how it interacts with us is an ongoing topic in my life and art. Working mostly in oil and acrylic, I seek to use my art and the process of making it as a way of expressing gratitude and an attempt to understand myself and my surroundings.
