Robert Logrippo

Artist BIO

Robert Logrippo's paintings show an America that many are nostalgic for: an American based in quaint, rural, small-town life. Other work depicts monsters, dragons, whales, and fantastical city and villagescapes. Art scholars often describe his work as "American Naive" or in the "American Crafts Style." Robert received a New York City education, attending the High School of Music and Art and The School of Visual Arts.

As an illustrator for major book and magazine publishers during most of his forty-five year career, his artwork has appeared in many major magazines, book publications, and record covers. Robert's work is included in many private collections worldwide.

A former illustrator, work by this native New Yorker has appeared in The New York Times Sunday Magazine, Readers Digest, Six Flags Amusement Parks posters and Celestial Seasonings Tea boxes.

Robert exhibited fine art successfully in NYC Galleries for over 25 years. He worked as a teacher at

• Furman University Continuing Education Program,

Robert was an Art School Director for the Spartanburg Art Museum, located on the campus of the Chapman Cultural Center for many years.
